The Amsterdam Law Hub is looking for a motivated law (or notary) student to set up a Rechtswinkel program dedicated to start-ups & NGOs.
Time period Mid-April to September. Do you want to remain a board member? Then you can remain involved for a longer period of time.
Estimated time spent 8 hours a week
Deadline April 4
Paper with 'start-up' printed

Together with Pro Bono Connect, we have established a monthly event where we match start-ups and NGOs with questions to lawyers from major firms such as Baker McKenzie, Linklaters and De Brauw. Following the success of these sessions, we are now looking for an entrepreneurial student who wants to help set up a network of business law and notary students providing free legal advise to start-ups and NGOs. This could potentially become a separate entity (onafhankelijke Rechtswinkel) with you as a founding board member.

We can offer a kick-off stipend to the selected student. The successful candidate would work closely with the Amsterdam Law Hub, the Faculty education programme, and the law firms to develop and implement a plan leading to a Rechtswinkel run by students in conjunction with the lawyers. There’s currently funding available to organize monthly clincs until August 2022.

The position is immediately available, with a view to the launch of the Rechtswinkel in September with the new academic year. We encourage business law students or notary students with an entrepreneurial mindset from the UvA Faculty of Law to apply.

Interested? Please send your motivational letter and CV to amsterdamlawhub@uva.nl to let us know why you are the best person for the job.
