Proud. Proud. Proud.

Full of excitement we attended dinner at the Gouden Zandlopers last Thursday. A chic affair where we, on behalf of our elective course Justice Entrepreneurship, together with colleague/opponents of the Legal Tech Lab and law firm NautaDutilh, cheered to the nomination for Innovative Legal Education Award. And it got even better: one week later the award shines through the windows of our Law Hub on the Nieuwe Achtergracht. We have won.

You'll become a justice entrepreneur

"In the past year, we have worked hard to develop an innovative programme for students to support them in developing legal solutions and social enterprise. This award is the icing on the cake for us," says our director Nathalie Dijkman.

For those who are not yet familiar with Justice Entrepreneurship: following this elective for master's students will help you design and build solutions for justice and legal issues. By applying the Design Thinking methodology to the justice sector, you will dive into the real problems and needs of citizens and other actors in society who need innovative solutions. You will learn how to get to know stakeholders, (re)define problems and develop a prototype of a brand new legal or judicial service. In short: you develop entrepreneurial skills and take your first step towards starting your own company or organisation.

Want to sign up? Yes you can!

Are you as enthusiastic as we are? Then take a look at the course catalogue and send your CV and motivation before 17 December 2021 to: amsterdamlawhub@uva.nl. As a limited number of students are able to attend to this course, we will make a choice based on your email.

Please note that an earlier deadline of 19 November 2021 applies to Public International Law students.
