#PROGRAMMES
6 October 2021
On Thursday 21 October we will hold our first Incuboater event, where we will provide free legal advice to start-ups by boat! Why by boat? Because we can. And because we adore the view of our lovely city from the water. Read more about the full programme and the registration procedure.
For many start-ups, the costs of employing a lawyer are still far too high. This too often results in unfair contracts being concluded and incorrect legal action being taken.
At the Amsterdam Law Hub, we can clearly see the impact our 'Rechtswinkels' have on Amsterdam's society, as it provides citizens with much easier access to the law. This, combined with a great drive to support start-ups through our own incubator programme, makes us convinced that this service should be extended to start-ups and NGOs.
In collaboration with Pro Bono Connect, 16 Zuidas offices, StartupAmsterdam and Uber, we will be kicking off this first Incuboater on Thursday 21 October, where we will be providing legal advice to start-ups by boat. With the city of Amsterdam as our backdrop, we will be mooring at three iconic spots. Each location represents its own applicable theme where 10 ditto start-ups will board.
10h00 - 12h00 The Amsterdam Law Hub
This is the kick-off location! The theme that accompanies this spot is naturally aligned with what the Law Hub stands for: start-ups that make a social impact, operate in the legal sector and the social sciences and humanities.
12h30 - 14h30 Amnesty International
The second location is in the centre of Amsterdam, near the headquarters of Amnesty International and the famous gay monument. Here we focus on tech initiatives and NGOs.
15h30 - 17h30 Amsterdam Law Hub
We end where we started our boat ride; in the Amsterdam Law Hub we welcome start-ups with a scientific and medical background at the end of the day.
