Legal Startup Pitching Competition is an annual pitch event for startups aimed at solving legal problems. Both students from our master's programme Justice Entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial students from all over the Netherlands participate in this event.

Our mission is to work with students to develop innovative solutions that clarify, redesign or replace the most complex aspects of law. The criteria we use to assess such problems, and their corresponding solutions, are:

  • The legal problem actually creates problems within our society.
  • The solution to this is innovative and this can make a difference.
  • The pitch is convincing and the service/product is clearly explained.
  • There is a clear sustainability model behind the idea.
  • It is plausible that the team can deliver on these plans.
  • It has the potential to grow.
