Doing an internship is a great way for students to gain practical experience. The best time to do an internship is after your Bachelor's or during your Master's study.
While the 180-ECTS Bachelor's curriculum does not leave room to do an internship, some Master's programmes do allow you to fit in a 6-ECTS internship. Consult the Course Catalogue to find out if your Master's programme allows internships to count as electives.
New internship regulations apply since 1 September 2019. The procedures to follow therefore depend on when you start your internship. The old regulations apply to all internships that commence before or on 31 August 2019; after this date, the current regulations apply.
Example: The first day of your internship was 26 August 2019. This means your internship falls under the old regulations.
Example: The first day of your internship was 2 September 2019. This means your internship falls under the current regulations.
