Do you agree that legal procedures could be clearer, simpler, but above all fairer? Do you think that judicial solutions should be examined for a better society? And would you like to stimulate that change yourself?
Then we have good news for you: our master's course Justice Entrepreneurship will start again during the second semester, in which you can participate.
By following this elective course, you will be helped to design and build solutions to justice and legal issues. By applying the Design Thinking methodology to the justice sector, you dive into the real problems and needs of citizens and other actors in society who need innovative solutions. You will find out how to get to know stakeholders, how to (re)define problems and develop a prototype of a brand new legal or judicial service. You take your first step towards your own company or organisation or in short: you develop entrepreneurial skills and will become a Justice Entrepreneur!
The most interesting is that we learn and think from a different perspective about laws than we used to in law schools. I learned how to build up an idea and learned a lot of practical skills.
It's a special experience for me to further open my mind, since I tend to concentrate on reasonability and feasibility of my ideas, and seldom have had such an opportunity to imagine as far as possible.
It was the nicest and final course I had in University, so it was a great way to end my masters.
Would you like to know more about the master's course? Then watch the video below of the information session that took place recently.
Are you as enthusiastic as we are? Then take a look at the course catalogue and send your CV and motivation before 17 December 2021 to: amsterdamlawhub@uva.nl. Please note that an earlier deadline of 19 November 2021 applies to Public International Law students. As a limited number of students are able to attend to this course, we will make a choice based on your email.
