Together with Bureau Clara Wichmann and the City of Amsterdam, we are opening the first Women's Legal Advice Centre in Amsterdam to promote equal access to the law for all women.

Research shows that women are more often financially dependent, earn lower wages than men, have more care responsibilities and are more often exposed to sexual violence or (street) harassment. There is still a lot of inequality between women and men, while every person needs equal opportunities to achieve equal rights. Language and educational barriers, for example, can play a role in the search for legal solutions where they exist.

In the meantime, we have also posted this interesting vacancy for legal advisers, where bachelor and master law students can put their theoretical knowledge into practice in a good way and help Amsterdam women.

The opening will be on 8 September 2021, but women will be able to schedule their first legal consultations from the end of September. Keep an eye on our website for the latest news!
